Yes, I know that does not sound at all professional, but it is what we estheticians are thinking inside. We are thrilled to squeeze zits and pimples and clear out the acne-causing bacteria, along with the pustules' contents.

So, before you roll up your sleeves and try to pop that zit, take a moment and institute a couple of precautions so you don't make things worse.


ZITS POPPING PREPARATION

First of all, be sure to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and warm water so you don't accidntally transfer dirt and germs to your face.

Next, remember that your nails are a breeding ground of bacteria. Even though you have washed your hands, you will still need to cover your nails with tissue or finger mitts, so they too can be protected from making a deposit of dirt or bacteria onto your acneic skin. This will only exacerbate your acne.

As you proceed on with your big zit popping session, keep your enthusiasm and zeal for conquest in check. In other words, if the pimple doesn't pop, then go cop a squat. Give it up for now. Don't keep doing your squeeze zit routine or you will most likely inflame the area, possibly leave a scar which can result in pigmentation, and of course, spread the acne-causing bacteria and infection. As you know, we tend to get sloppy when we get frustrated and are trying to achieve a certain result. Therefore, plan ahead and take your zit popping in stride. Remember, a few popped zits done properly go a long way.
