POPPING ZITS OVERVIEW

As your nails are a breeding ground for bacteria, you'll want to be sure to cover your index fingers with latex finger mitts or create finger mitts by wrapping tissue around the fingers, so to avoid transference of bacteria. Using your index fingers, stretch the skin surrounding the pimple; gently squeeze towards the pimple, while pressing downward. Be sure to put pressure on the surrounding skin, in which you will pop zit to insure you don't traumatize the surrounding tissue. Carefully wipe the contents of the pimple onto one of the finger mitt tissues and promptly discard. Create a new tissue finger mitt and repeat the above popping a zit process, insuring you rewrap fingers with tissues as necessary. When doing pimple popping, you'll find the above process should easily expel the pimple's contents, which is dead skin cells, white blood cells (pus), and sebum. If you find the popped zit doesn't easily release its contents, repeat the exfoliation and steaming process. Antiseptic - Once you pop the zits, wipe the skin's surface with an antiseptic product to remove any bacteria, which might still be on the surface. This way you will avoid transferring the bacteria to other areas which could ultimately cause new outbreaks. Mask - After your zits popping routine, follow with an antibacterial or clay-based mask, which will remove any remnants of bacteria, along with soaking up excess oils. Benzoyl Peroxide Lastly, using a Q-tip, apply a little benzoyl peroxide directly to the pimple. It will help kill off bacteria and keep the pimple from growing. Now you know how to pop a zit.
